One other thing: Sadly, freight charges from UPS and postage for many packages via the US Postal Service have gone up, as they tend to do every year. We have not increased our S/H charges for a long time, and had to do so now, although barely enough to adjust for all the increases. As a mail-order merchant, we hate to increase these rates or do anything to make it harder on our customers. That's why we keep it to a minimum, and one reason why we run these promotions from time to time with extra discounts.
The worst increases were for orders going by air—either UPS 2nd day air or overnight; or priority mail when the shipment goes far enough. Both services exact a penalty based on carton size—called "dimensional weight." You can avoid the extra expense if you place your order with enough time to spare so that we can ship it by ground.
